Salar de Uyuni walking on clouds

Impressive places

Salar de Uyuni, the salty heart of Bolivia as many lovers call it, is considered the most beautiful natural attraction in South America.

Salar de Uyuni is the largest salt flat in the world, covering over 10,000 square kilometers in southwestern Bolivia, near the top of the Andes.

Now it is covered by several meters of salty crust, which is good for health. Salt water is extremely rich in lithium. When it rains, the Salar de Uyunis thin layer of still water turns into a mirror of the world, 129 km (80 mi) in diameter.

The Salar has been used as a filming location for movies, one of the most popular being Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Salar de Uyuni is also a popular tourist destination due to the way the hotels are built. Due to the lack of conventional building materials, many of them are built almost entirely (walls, roof, furniture) from salt blocks cut from the Salar. However, its location and poor management in the middle of the desert caused sanitary problems, as most of the waste had to be collected manually and the hotel had to be dismantled in 2002. Around 2007, a new hotel was built with a better sanitary system, which is in in accordance with state regulations.

This place is real! It is the worlds biggest natural mirror - the salt flats of Bolivia! I promise, if I ever get married one day, Salar De Uyuni will be the place where it happens! . . The first time heard about Salar De Uyuni was while working on an assignment in destination development at the university. I was introduced to this fantastic place by one of the students in my group.⁣ #salardeujuni - The closest place to heaven on earth.⁣ 📸 by @takarafotografia . Check him out for more AMAZING photos!

This was the one of the most spectacular moments in my life. I’ve never seen so many stars in the sky. Especially when we drove through the salt flats to an area where it rained the other day. So we could see the reflection of the Milky Way.

Heaven Himmel Heaven on Earth 🌎 There is no other way I can describe my experience at the largest salt lake on Earth! And not only that one blew me away! When I tell you this was a heaven on earth experience, I mean so much more! I felt like I was walking in the middle of the clouds, yes, but also over the moon da, Mars Ich and between the individual galaxies✨️ back and forth! On dry surface, a mirror of water follows, which transports you to another world. Volcanic rock is followed by snow duster that makes you forget where the horizon begins and ends, desert and gravel slopes are followed by moss and grasslands, so surreal as if you are in a troll area. And then ..... then you cant believe what you see when you step into a hot spring in the middle of nowhere in freezing cold, in the middle of the night, look up and suddenly the whole universe smiles at you! Not a single spot that isn’t saturated with star sparkles and million years old history! Heaven on Earth💙 Bolivia🤍 Lets share our most beautiful landscape (surprise) experiences here! Where did you get yours😍 *****************************.
