The unique mineral spring of Pamukkale

Experiences

To visit this beauty, dress lightly, have a bathing suit handy, try to find some light slippers that dont slip and let yourself enjoy and relax.

Pamukkale is a town in western Turkey known for the mineral-rich thermal waters flowing down white travertine terraces on a nearby hillside. It neighbors Hierapolis, an ancient Roman spa city founded around 190 B.C.

The water that appears from the spring has a temperature that ranges from 35 ° C to 100 ° C brings benefits for the skin. One of the main pools in Pamukkale is also known as Cleopatras pool, because the Egyptian queen Cleopatra used to bathe in it, and with over 2 million visitors annually, it is considered one of the biggest attractions in Turkey.

Türkiye has been full of surprises ✨ The country offically changed the name from Turkey to Türkiye so if you’re wondering why I’m spelling it like this, it’s the new preferred way to spell it 🤌🏼

This photo is from the day I turned 28. We visited Pamukkale and it was really pretty! Apparently 10 years ago it was extremely beautiful but it’s pretty touristy now and many of the pools are dried out. When we went it wasn’t too busy because it was freezing cold and we went really early in the morning (I had to take my coat off for a few seconds for this photo) 🤣

I have so many photos to share from this place but I chose this one because it makes me feel so calm when I look at it. It brings me back to a very “at peace” feeling that I had that day. Usually I’m pretty upset to be getting older but I don’t really care that much anymore I guess ✌🏼 If you’ve read this far.. THANK YOU! I know this is cringy but feel free to double tap my photo to let instagram know that photo posts are still important 👌🏼

A photo like taken with a calculator 😅 Denizli/ Pamukkale Travertenleri 🦋 I dont exactly remember the entrance fee but there was a long queue. After waiting in that line for a while in that heat, we learned that you can enter with a museum card and since we had it, we entered without waiting.

If you have a museum card, the roads are open, friends 😂 Lets come here 😍 The water is cold, but you get used to it 😅 If you want to take amazing photos, I recommend you to stop by. As much as we weren’t shot 😅 we didn’t have a daughter yet when we went here. Thats why I didnt have the experience of going with a baby
