Pele is in the hospital on November 29 for an evaluation of the chemotherapy he has been receiving since September 2021, when he was diagnosed with colon cancer.

Edson Arantes do Nascimento, known as Pele, is considered one of the greatest players of all time. He was among the most successful and popular sports figures of the 20th century. Pele was named the world player of the century. In his career, he scored 1,279 goals in 1,363 games, including friendlies. With that statistic, he entered the Guinness Book of Records.

Pele was, and still is today, a great icon of football who was known as an honest football player on the field, but also off the field. He stood out for his charismatic leadership and sportsmanship on the field.

Life is all about opportunity. What we do with it is up to each of us. We hit and hit. Victory is celebrated. Defeat is learning. Life is always generous and offers new beginnings. With each passing day, we begin a new journey.
